July 21[edit]

Three cheeseburgers (and no fries with that)[edit]

There is a bird whose call has the cadence and intonation that sounds like "cheeseburger, cheeseburger, cheeseburger please". I didn't get a good look at it (central AZ, Carefree/Cave Creek area). Any birders out there who can ID this critter? 2606:A000:1126:28D:386F:62F0:5CBB:14F6 (talk) 22:34, 21 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Richard Liversidge, the late ornithologist would suggest, that you provide additional information, where in the world are you, and where was the bird seen/heard, in a garden, in a forest, in a desert? This will help us to track down the culprit. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.53.187.190 (talk) 08:29, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The general area is the Sonoran Desert, the specific area is semi-rural neighborhood with some grass a few citrus trees, but otherwise desert-ish. [OP]: 2606:A000:1126:28D:2C6E:7CAD:9F2D:A6D5 (talk) 10:26, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You could try the Arizona Field Ornithologists AZFO MP3 Bird Sounds Library? Alansplodge (talk) 14:31, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the link (It'll take awhile to go through the list). [OP]: 107.15.157.44 (talk) 19:37, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Mountain chickadee? hydnjo (talk) 17:16, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Possible, but so far I haven't found what I heard on the web -- evidently they have many different calls, however.
Also, I think this is the same critter that says "shredded-wheat". [OP]: 107.15.157.44 (talk) 19:12, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
