Description[edit]

A WikiProject to add citations to pages tagged with {{citation needed}}. It would scan Category:Articles with unsourced statements and add citations to those articles. Why do you want to start a new group?: To make certain all claims on Wikipedia are verified.

Good idea. You could definitely create a kind of systematic approach. First find the {{cn}}. Then try to source it. If that fails document the {{cn}} exists, for example by RFC, or asking at applicable wikiprojects, when that request expires try some other means of finding editors familiar with the topic. (preferably not all notice boards at the same time) If that fails the material should be removed. (RFC can still be found in the archive of the article talk page) Our current "when someone gets to it" approach isn't very efficient. 84.106.26.81 (talk) 08:23, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
