Texas: street address issues

• Washington Avenue Bridge (Waco, Texas), street address. For this entry the location is given as "Washington and wlm Aves. across Brazos River,"; it should be "Washington and Elm Aves". Typo: "wlm"; correction "Elm". On Google maps, the street to the west is Washington Avenue, then the bridge crosses a river, then street on east is Elm Avenue. • Chinese Sunken Garden Gate and Dionicio Rodriguez Bridge in Brackenridge Park in San Antonio, Texas are noted at 400 N. St. Mary's. Their actual locations are north of downtown, so likely 4000 N. St. Mary's is the correct address. 25or6to4 (talk) 19:49, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

• Hotel McCartney in Texarkana, TX, is listed at "State Line Rd." It's actually at the corner of Front and Main Streets. Street number unknown. 25or6to4 (talk) 05:32, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

• Fort Anahuac in Anahuac, TX, is listed at "TX 564". That numbering was removed from that road 15 years before the site was listed on the NRHP! Best address I could get was corner of Main St. and Chambers. 25or6to4 (talk) 22:08, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

• Ysleta Mission in El Paso, TX, is listed at "U.S. 80 near jct. with Zaragosa Rd." US 80 no longer goes through El Paso (removed in 1991). The highway is now Texas State Highway 20.

• Samuel May Williams House in Galveston, TX, is listed at 361 Avenue P. The house is really at 3601 Avenue P, 33 blocks away.25or6to4 (talk) 16:58, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

• Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railway Company Depot and Locomotive No. 5000: Noted at 307 S. Grant, but locomotive was moved in 2005 to the corner of 2nd and Lincoln, about 3 block NW. • El Paso US Courthouse, article currently at United States Court House (El Paso, Texas, 1936) is located at 511 East San Antonio, not West, based on NRIS coords and other sources. --doncram (talk) 19:21, 18 October 2010 (UTC)

• Miller Manufacturing Company Building (designated 10/28/10) listed at 311 Bruan Ave., should be 311 Bryan Ave. 25or6to4 (talk) 05:25, 8 November 2010 (UTC)

• St. Mary's Catholic Church (refnum 83003159) in Umbarger, Randall County, is described as being "Off U.S. 60", a description that applies to all of Umbarger. Per the parish's website, it's at 22830 Pondesetta Rd. Ammodramus (talk) 22:15, 2 April 2016 (UTC)

• Woodard House, in Houston, Texas, is listed in NRIS2013a as being located at 740 Rutlant St., but that should be 740 Rutland St. instead. Texas: architect, builder, engineer issues

Six NRIS listings identify "Mills, Bailey" as an architect, builder or engineer, making it sound like there is an individual of this name. In fact it is a firm, Bailey Mills, formerly "Bailey Brothers Planing Mill". It can accurately be presented as "Bailey Mills" but "Mills, Bailey" is not correct. This applies to NRIS listings for:

• Dr. L.W. and Martha E.S. Chilton House, 242 N. Chilton St. Goliad, TX
• E. J. Jecker House, 201 N. Wheeler Victoria, TX
• Keef-Filley Building, 214 S. Main Victoria, TX
• Randall Building, 103-105 W. Santa Rosa Victoria, TX
• Saint Mary's Catholic Church (Victoria, Texas), 101 W. Church Victoria, TX
• Tasin House, 202 N. Wheeler Victoria, TX

The correct name is presented in the Victoria Texas MRA document at https://npgallery.nps.gov/NRHP/GetAsset/NRHP/64000855_text. --doncram 17:18, 10 September 2012 (UTC)

Texas: architectural style issues

• Proctor House (Victoria, Texas) is listed in NRIS as having Colonial Revival architecture, when in fact it has Classical Revival architecture (or Neoclassical) per its NRHP nomination document. This appears to have been a typo during data entry into NRIS. --doncram 00:26, 23 February 2017 (UTC)

• Southgate-Lewis House is listed in NRIS as having "Gothic" and/or "Stick-style" architecture, when it is in fact certainly not Gothic at all, and it is debatable whether it is Stick or not (see active discussion at Talk:Southgate-Lewis House). The NRHP nomination for this property is available here. As noted by MagicPiano in that discussion, the NRHP material does not mention the word "Stick" or "Gothic" at all, and describes the house as "late Victorian". It appears NRIS data entry might have re-used those terms from other entries from the East Austin MRA document on the same date. --Doncram (talk) 03:20, 11 July 2021 (UTC)
