Gender neutrality[edit]

I will neither confirm nor deny rumors I may have been dragged kicking and screaming into the woke world. As I encounter this nostalgic reminder of the days of my youth, however, I wonder if the WikiKing intentionally demonizes masculinity, or if the goals of gender neutrality might be better served by renaming this species of Wikifauna the WikiMonarch? Neutral WikiKing has a better ring to it. (No rhyme intended.) And since most who edit Wikipedia are biological men (90%), I suppose it is fair to call it a king. However I don't want to be a person standing unnecessarily in the way of progress. So if the ladies here want to change the title of WikiKing to WikiMonarch then by all means go ahead!Spannerjam (talk) 10:14, 23 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Updated I belive those who have lived the full female experience should decide on matters like this. An issue like this may seem banal to some but every little bit helps in the way towards making females more welcome to Wikipedia, which is an outspoken community goal.
