Xbaquiyalo is a Mayan deity. She was the wife of Hun-Hunahpú, and mother to the Monkey Twins, Hun Batz and Hun Chouén. The name ‘Xbaquiyalo’ (you must pronounce ‘Shbakiyaloo’) probably derives from ‘X-bac-quic’, that means ‘Little and Gory Bone’ or ‘Little and Gory Kernel’; ‘yaló’ maybe is a suffix. Maybe she descends from one Lord of Xibalbá, but it's only an hypothesis based on the fact that the name is grisly.
