Wikipedia Loves Libraries DC will be held on November 5, 2011 at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library (DCPL) at the Library Lab, as part of the Wikipedia Loves Libraries events being held across the USA and during Digital Capital Week in DC.

Wikipedia Loves Libraries DC will be held on November 5, 2011 at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library (DCPL) at the Library Lab, as part of the Wikipedia Loves Libraries events being held across the USA and during Digital Capital Week in DC.

  • 9th & G St NW, near the Gallery Place-Chinatown metro
What

There will be something for newbies and experienced Wikimedians alike as we spend an afternoon working on articles and editing Wikipedia:

  • For newbies, learn how to contribute to Wikipedia
  • Edit-a-thon: Improve Wikipedia content related to local DC history, civil rights, arts, and more

There may also be an opportunity to help digitize and upload historic photographs from the library's Washingtonian special collection.
