  • October 1, 1961 - Started Passenger Service and renamed to Shirakibaru Station (白木原駅, Shirakibaru-eki).
  • April 1, 1987 - Railways privatize and this station is inherited by JR Kyushu.
  • March 11, 1989 - This station is renamed to present name.
