Kai Atō (阿藤 快, Atō Kai, b. 14 November 1946 in Odawara, Kanagawa) is a male Japanese actor and TV presenter. His real name is Kōichi Atō (阿藤 公一, Atō Kōichi), and his former stage name was Kai Atō (阿藤 海, Atō Kai) using different kanji characters.
History
As a kid, Atō was a baseball player in his hometown. He wanted to spend his high school life as a baseball player, but Seisho High school of Kanagawa, had no teams.
After Atō left his hometown, he attended Tokyo Metropolitan University, majoring in law-social science. After graduation, his career as an actor involved playing as a "villain" character for ten years.
