   A few things about me:

  • I have been an editor here for 18 years (first edit), although I only recorded 29 edits between 2011 and 2015.
  • I am also an administrator, which means I have a few extra clean-up tools. I passed my RFA in 2008, back when adminship was truly no big deal.
  • I was an admin from January 2008 to June 2009. I resigned the tools for seven years during a period of mostly minimal editing, but then had them restored in May 2016 when I started editing consistently again.
  • I am bold when it comes to making administrative actions. That said, I will never revert another admin who has undone one of my administrative actions.
  • I mainly edit articles within the Green Bay Packers WikiProject, although I do edit some random articles from time to time.

Still planning on heading up north when the weather cooperates and it's completely clear; my days off as of late of course have not timed well to the clear weather so I want to make sure I have fully sunny skies for you before I get up there. Nate (chatter) 19:42, 15 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Bob Waterfield Win-Loss record and Rams Starting QB List

[edit]

Hi there,

I am currently doing a rewrite of List of Los Angeles Rams starting quarterbacks so that I may nominate it for featured list status at least before September 2025. However, I have run into a problem. Bob Waterfield played with the Rams starting in 1945, but as you have mentioned in List of Green Bay Packers starting quarterbacks and I have found out myself while researching on Pro Football Reference, the NFL only started recording the win-loss records for the starting quarterback beginning in 1950. So how will Waterfield be listed on the table since his career with the Rams began five season prior to the league began keeping track of a starting quarterbacks win-loss record?

For the record, I am making changes over at User:Birdienest81/sandbox two, which will be transfered to the actual list when the rewrite is complete.

Birdienest81, nice work so far! I would probably use some sort of footnote that says Waterfield's win/loss record is only calculated after 1950, when this data was reliably recorded. If you look at PFR, that is how it is reflected in his stats table. Hope this helps! « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 21:35, 22 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
