An editor has nominated this article for deletion. You are welcome to participate in the deletion discussion, which will decide whether or not to retain it. |
This article may meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion because in its current form it serves only to promote or publicise an entity, person, product, or idea, and would require a fundamental rewrite in order to become encyclopedic. However, the mere fact that a company, organization, or product is a page's subject does not, on its own, qualify that page for deletion under this criterion. This criterion also does not apply where substantial encyclopedic content would remain after removing the promotional material as deletion is not cleanup; in this case please remove the promotional material yourself, or add the {{advert}} tag to alert others to do so. See CSD G11.
If this article does not meet the criteria for speedy deletion, or you intend to fix it, please remove this notice, but do not remove this notice from pages that you have created yourself. If you created this page and you disagree with the given reason for deletion, you can click the button below and leave a message explaining why you believe it should not be deleted. You can also visit the talk page to check if you have received a response to your message. Note that this article may be deleted at any time if it unquestionably meets the speedy deletion criteria, or if an explanation posted to the talk page is found to be insufficient.
Note to administrators: this article has content on its talk page which should be checked before deletion. Administrators: check links, talk, history (last), and logs before deletion. History & General Timeline
Cyber-Ark was founded in 1999 by Alon Cohen, Udi Mokady and a team of security technologists in Israel, who worked to develop the Digital Vault. The technology combines multiple layers of security which resides within an existing network perimeter and focuses around data itself, creating a central repository to share and store proprietary or confidential data. The Digital Vault was created to exist separately from the network, whether placed within or outside the infrastructure and serves as the foundation for all of Cyber-Ark’s following technology products.
In April 2006 Cyber-Ark’s Digital Vaulting platform was tested by ICSA Labs and verified as a secure, encrypted file storage and sharing environment.
On July 9, 2006, Cyber-Ark expanded its European presence by opening a new UK headquarters in London. Later that year, on December 21, the Company moved its corporate headquarters to Newton, MA.
On January 30, 2007, Cyber-Ark co-founded the PCI Security Vendor Alliance along with seven other companies to educate U.S. companies on the compliance regulation and technology tools for compliance.
In May 2007 Cyber-Ark releases its first Annual IT Snooping survey, which revealed that one in three IT employees snoop through company systems and confidential data using privileged passwords[1].
On April 28, 2008, Cyber-Ark’s Enterprise Password Vault was named the winner of Network World magazine’s first “Clear Choice Test” for Privileged Account Management products[2].
On June 30, 2008, Forrester Research listed Cyber-Ark as having the largest customer base in its class in the Privileged User Management Market report.
In August 2008, the Second Annual IT Snooping Survey was released by Cyber-Ark. The results revealed that 88 percent of IT employees would steal confidential data before exiting the company[3].
