Wadi Kabir (means Great Valley in English) is a township near to Ruwi in Muscat, in northeastern Oman.[1]

On July 15, 2024, three Islamic State (IS) gunmen opened fire at the Shia Imam Ali Mosque in OMAN'S Wadi Kabir district, marking the first incident of terrorism attack in Oman’s history.[2]
