Raaso Town

Raaso is a location in the Somali Region of Ethiopia and is inhabited by the Fiqi Omar clan, also, known as the Sheikhaal clan. Raaso is situated along the Imei–Ghindir road, in the Mierab Emi woreda of Afder Zone, some 40km north-west of West Imei (or Mierab Emi) village at a latitude and longitude of 6°32′N 41°47′E / 6.533°N 41.783°E / 6.533; 41.783.

The area is characterised by thick, hilly bushland with seasonal rivers nearby that may carry water after rains and where it is easy to dig shallow wells to get water available throughout the year.
