List of awards and nominations received by Better Call Saul (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)

Nominator(s): Horacio Varawanna talk? 22:18, 13 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I am nominating this for featured list because for starters, I believe that this passes everything listed on the FL-criteria and because I have also added 42 archived references from reliable sources for each award ceremony. Horacio Varawanna talk? 22:18, 13 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • The lead should have sources to verify the information stated there.
  • Use Template:Infobox awards list instead of the current custom infobox to ensure formatting is consistent and won't cause issues.
  • When listing awards in the infobox, the nomination totals should include nominations for categories it won – so, for example, it should say 3 wins and 3 nominations for the AFI Awards, not 3 wins/0 noms.
  • The image needs alt text.
  • Merge the individual lists into one list. From my experience with two similar FL nominations recently, this seems to be the standard now. Additionally, the tables should have sorting capabilities – this helps a lot when using a single large list.
  • From a quick scan of IMDb's awards list for the show, there are some more awards that should probably be added. The Producers Guild of America Awards definitely belong on this list, and there are several other groups (particularly when it comes to guilds) that should probably be added based on their inclusion on other lists.
  • On the other hand, the Gold Derby Awards should probably be cut – from past experience, it's not considered notable enough for inclusion.

@RunningTiger123: Sources have been added to lead, an infobox has been made (with alt text), and the tables have all been merged into one large list. Additionally, the Gold Derby Awards have been removed and three "guild" awards have been added. All other suggestions have also been fixed. Awesome! There are just a few more things that I noticed from the changes you made.
  • Remove source 6. IMDb is not a reliable source, and the statement it's supporting doesn't need to be sourced because the table shows it's true.
  • Sort nominees by last name (unless the nominee isn't a person's name). You can use Template:Sortname or data-sort-value= to do this.

Support – Well-sourced with great formatting. Nice work! RunningTiger123 (talk) 18:19, 14 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • The only thing I can pick up on is that I think the note "However, this list does not include Employee Training: Legal Ethics with Kim Wexler...." should explain what "Employee Training: Legal Ethics with Kim Wexler" actually is -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 20:50, 19 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Note b Tied with Olivia Colman from The Night Manager. is not a complete sentence and doesn't need a full stop.
  • The opposite is true for the lede photo's caption.
  • Could you find a source for the lede that calls it a "spin-off." The current Hollywood Reporter source doesn't support it.

Everything else looks good. ~ HAL333 19:39, 27 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@HAL333: Done. Horacio Varawanna talk? 22:50, 27 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Lead is a little too light, two brief paras, for this length of list.
  • "2015-2017" en-dash.
  • The source for the 2017 Satellite Awards does not say the award was shared with Colman, it lists Colman as sole winner.

@The Rambling Man: Noticed you were online but haven't responded to my first ping. Horacio Varawanna talk? 18:12, 7 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Source review – The reliability and formatting of the references both look okay, the link-checker tool shows no problems, and TRM's sourcing issue has been resolved. The source review has been passed. Giants2008 (Talk) 23:17, 9 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
