Gavin Ward (born November 11, 1984) is one of the only Canadians currently working as a Formula One engineer. His success story has been featured on the French-Canadian television station Réseau des sports and in The Toronto Star newspaper in June 2006.

A lifelong enthusiast of cars and motor racing, Ward moved to England from his hometown, Toronto, Canada, in 2003 to pursue a career in Motorsport Engineering. While studying Automotive Engineering at Oxford Brookes University he got his first job in Formula One at age 20 with the Milton Keynes based Red Bull Racing Formula One team as a placement student in the R&D department. After only six months in that role he was promoted to race & test team trackside control engineer, making him one of the youngest engineers in the F1 paddock and one of the youngest trackside engineers in the history of modern Formula One.

During the 2006 season he was responsible for the tuning and operation of the electronic control systems onboard Scotsman David Coulthard's car.
