I spend 80% of my time on Wikipedia fighting vandalism, because I'm good at it and for some reason I have the stomach for it. We all bring our particular gifts to the project, and that is mine. The other 15% is Wikignoming, with the last 5% being tending to articles I have particular interest in (which is eclectic).

As such, I encounter many edit warriors, many of them with, as they say, "more issues than Newsweek". Many of them will project their motivations on me. Some of them will accuse me of that which they themselves are guilty of (e.g. edit warring).

And there will be, and have been, times I have made mistakes, and been called out on it. But unlike many editors who favor deleting such nastiness, or "archiving" it, it is my intention to leave all such verbiage as are not in violation of policy on my talk page. So if you and I, for some reason, have a dispute, I trust you will not look at my talk page, see the lashings out against me, and attempt to use that as ammunition in Wikicourt, because it will not work. In my almost 20 years of editing, I have never been sanctioned in any way for any edit I have ever made on any article. I am protective of the project, and respect it too much to ever willingly bring any harm to it.
