Trochacea, the top shells, is a superfamily of primitive marine gastropods from the order Archaeogastropoda. They are distinguished by multiple whirl-like patterns on the exterior, an iridescent interior surface and the presence of horns on the (operculum). They live on rocky surfaces, consuming algae and loose food particles.
