Frances Lynn is a journalist and writer who was born in St. Mary's Hospital in London. She was educated at Malvern Girls' College. In 1977, Nigel Dempster proposed her for the National Union of Journalists. She worked as a gossip columnist and film editor for Ritz Newspaper, published by David Bailey. She did freelance journalism, working on Fleet Street for the Evening Standard and wrote for glossy magazines including Harpers and Queen and Tatler under Tina Brown's editorship. She also wrote Future Shock stories for 2000 AD. She went on to write a golf column for Saga Magazine and gave lectures on the Saga Rose ship. Frances Lynn is now a member of the Writers' Guild of Great Britain, and has written two Young Adult novels published by Eiworth Publishing: "Crushed" and "Frantic", both reviewed by Brett Nicholas Moore, author of Tales of Brother Goose. Frances Lynn was known for her candid interviews with celebrities including Tom Hanks, Sammy Davis, Jr., Tony Curtis, Cary Grant, Donald Sutherland, John Hurt, Sally Field, and Robert Altman to name a few. Her knack for writing scathing columns about celebrities led to several lawsuits.
