The superfamily Diaphanoidea (Odhner, 1914) consists of two families of opisthobranchian marine snails with paper bubble shells from the suborder Cephalaspidea. There is little known about these small creatures, except the bare essentials.

Minute, thin, fragile, colorless to translucent shell, usually less than 5 mm. Ovate, pear-shaped, bulbous. Sunken apex. The species occur in sublitoral to abyssal zones of cold seas, such as the Arctic region, Antarctica, Australia.
