The contest, title owned by the [[Miss World]] organisation is organised each year by Angie Beasley, a winner of 25 beauty contests in the 80s and has organised beauty pageants around the country on behalf of Miss World, including [[Miss United Kingdom]], Mr UK, Miss England, [[Miss Scotland]] and [[Miss Wales]].
Eleanor Mary Anne Glynn was born in 1986 and won the Miss England 2006/7 title on the 14th of July 2007, she later went on to represent England in the Miss World 2006 contest in Poland.


Eleanor made the final 20 at the Miss World Talent show with her performance of Rainbows Classic 'Since you've been gone'.During her year as Miss England Eleanor made National headlines with a campaign against Size Zero, she continues to proudly promote real curves using her past title.
The contest often attracts celebrity judges at local and national finals. Many celebrities have also judged the regional heats for the competition around the country including top glamour model [[Katie Price|Jordan]], who joined the judging panel for Miss Sussex.


Eleanor is from a musical family and now is a singer/songwriter for an Oxford funk rock band and as a solo artist; she also enjoys music production and has learnt classical on the piano since she was 8.
The Miss England competition is promoted to thousands of women around England in local media by a series of area heats held around the country.
Eleanor is working to continue a career in music as a solo artist and also hopes to continue studies in media and broadcast journalism after presenting live on a music show called 'Passion Tv' at the age of 17.
Eleanor was a member of the 17th century re enacting society '''The Sealed knot''' with her family for over 15 years, the society puts on historical battles to raise funds for a variety of charities.
