Chloe, (also: Chloë) is a popular first or given name, especially in England. In Northern Ireland, "Chloe" was the most popular name for newborns from 1997 to 2002, followed by Emma in 2003.[1] The French spelling is Chloé. The name comes from Greek Χλοη (khloē), meaning "green shoot".[2] The name appears one time in the Bible, in 1 Corinthians 1:11 in the context of "the house of Chloe".[3][4]
