Rikkyc, I think I see what you were trying to do, but it messed up and I don't know how to fix it. If you can redo it, go for it.
Added a history section. Might need some rewriting/source adding.

The Glass Passenger is the upcoming studio album by Jack's Mannequin. Its tentative release date is June 3, 2008.[1]

History

After the band's first album Everything in Transit was released in 2005, frontman Andrew McMahon was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and spent several months receiving cancer treatment for his disease, during which the documentary "Dear Jack" was filmed. Jack's Mannequin played its first concert since the diagnosis in December of that year, and the band began several tours over the next two years, both supporting (O.A.R. in 2005 and Panic at the Disco in 2006) and headlining (Tour for the Cure and the West Coast Winter Tour). McMahon was able to stop taking medication in July 2006.

McMahon began writing songs for the band's second record after the summer of 2007.[2] Attempting to avoid the "cancer chronicles", he had about ten songs written by that December and hoped to start mixing and recording in January 2008. In interviews with AbsolutePunk.net and Alternative Press, the release date was tentatively given as April 22, 2008, but on March 18 a notice was posted on Absolute Punk stating that the album would be released on June 3.[3]

Meanwhile, Jack's Mannequin played college shows in January and February, during which they premiered "Suicide Blonde"[4] and "Caves"[5] at Ramapo College in New Jersey. The band's official blog was updated in December with the album's title, in February with song lyrics, and in March with a tentative tracklist. Also, Jack's' official MySpace page indicates that they will play The Bamboozle, Summerfest, and Japan's Summer Sonic Festival in 2008.[6]
