While there is already a page which discusses psychological aspects of Adult Babies (Cf. [[Infantilism]]), little room has been left for a serious discussion of the culture surrounding this community. The purpose of this article is therefore to describe that community in a cultural manner.

It is frequently, but not exclusively the case, that adult babies have a sexual component to their play. Sexuality is a very controversial topic these days, and as this form of fetish (when a sexual component exists) differs from what is popularly considered to be typical, reproductive sexual activity, many persons find it objectionable. Sometimes this bias is based on religious views which hold that the only acceptable form of sexual expression is monogamous reproductive sex with no objects to stimulate arousal, and preferably where the couple involved at least pretends they are not enjoying it. Other times, discomfort is aroused in that this form of sexual expression is confused with [[pedophilia]].

Despite this, most adult babies will avow any connection to pedophilia, and even take offense at the assumption that a connection exists.

This community has few public outlets.
