Hi,
Hi,
Thank you for deleting my comments on Santa Fe High School. If you could just delete the school from the website, I would be much obliged. Also, about the comments I posted I did not mean to offend you, but Santa Fe High School. I would be willing to write about how Santa Fe High School operates, if you would be nice enough not to delete it. Wikipedia is obviously a "Free Encyclopedia" which warrants me (and everyone else) the power to edit pages and you clearly see which page(s) I want to edit. Are you a moderator for the site or do you just feel morally obligated to fix things that are not broken? [[User:LM08]] 19:12, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

Taos High School

Don't worry about editing Taos High School's article. You're simple editing and deleting is disrespectful to those of us who are working towards making this a useful and informative resource. Do something productive and positive with your time. --Taostiger (talk) 02:42, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My edits to that article are productive and do help to make the article a better one. The information removed was not about the school but the community, and would be better suited for an article about the surrounding area if it is notable enough (I'm not too familiar with the community, so I can't say whether or not it would be deserving of an article). The information tagged is in need of a verifyable source in order to show that the information presented is accurate. I would suggest you read WP:OWN and WP:COI. —Mears man (talk) 04:01, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Taos, New Mexico would be a much more suitable article for the information regarding the community. —Mears man (talk) 04:13, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid the WP:OWN advice isn't sinking into the cerebrum of this user. AgnosticPreachersKid (talk) 04:38, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I was kind of getting the same feeling (love the brick wall on your page, btw). I guess I just thought hearing it again from another user might help. —Mears man (talk) 12:19, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ha, I use the brick wall pic quite often when appropriate. AgnosticPreachersKid (talk) 17:04, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Don't you think that the Aviators in space section needs some references? Otolemur crassicaudatus (talk) 14:14, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I certainly don't think it would hurt. The section is unsourced at the moment, so it would be a good idea to find a reference or two for the information present. Any sources found might also be able to be used to expand the section, so yeah, I'd say it would be a worthwhile endeavor. —Mears man (talk) 18:35, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Doh!

Thanks for fixing that. I blame it on the blonde highlights. APK yada yada 04:19, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. I'm always glad to help. —Mears man (talk) 04:24, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Little Shop

Hi. I agree with you that the synopsis is a little long, especially the second act. I took a swipe at it this morning, but most of the description is not bad. See if you can cut it down at all, but I'd rather take the tag off: it's not ridiculously long, and I don't think the tag is going to help. I'll ask for help at the Musicals project talk page. Thanks! -- Ssilvers (talk) 02:30, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I'll take a look at it and see what I can do. Hopefully I can get to it sometime tomorrow afternoon... The semester is drawing to a close for me, meaning assignments are due, so I often find myself slapping a tag on an article instead of attempting to fix it. I feel kind of bad about it at times, but I figure it'll remind me to work on it when I do get the time while drawing other people's attention to the matter. —Mears man (talk) 04:30, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Father, I have sinned.

Does this mean you're going to start a "ministry" like Jan Crouch? APK yada yada 19:13, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, let's just say I've never felt called to televangelism, although I'd kill for one of those pink wigs.
Seriously though, when I first came to this Southern Baptist school I was that all-American male who had every intention of entering the ministry. Just a little over a year later, and I'm suddenly an openly gay agnostic. God only knows what happened there... —Mears man (talk) 19:58, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I attended Pensacola Christian College (I deserve a medal). I was the exact same way (minus the ministry part). I was the perfect Christian son, but starting my junior year, things changed. I had an off-campus bf my last semester and went to the clubs every weekend. Ahh, it's always nice to talk to someone who is familiar with my experiences. APK yada yada 20:05, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Dang, you definitely deserve a Rainbow Heart for living through that. I was actually looking at Pensacola for a long time (I lived in Florida until I was ten, so I thought it might be nice to revisit my roots), but in the end I decided against it. The rules just sounded too strict for me. I mean, seriously, banning all music not found in the hymnal, save a few classical works? It's nice to know someone with similar experiences, though. Most people around here turn a blind eye to it, so things aren't so bad, although it sure is slim pickings when it comes to finding a boyfriend (I only know one other admittedly gay guy, and he's already in a relationship). —Mears man (talk) 20:22, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Do you mind if I ask you a question? Did you always kind of know that you were gay? For me, it was something I was more or less aware of on some level, although I was in denial about it for the longest time. I guess I just believed that if I was a good enough boy then God would "fix" me. It really hasn't been until recently that I've been able to acknowledge and accept myself for who I am. —Mears man (talk) 20:25, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I was in the same boat. I prayed that God would "fix" me as well. I dated 3 girls in college and was even engaged to one of them. It wasn't until my 2nd semester junior year/first semester senior year that I started to realize it wasn't something I could change. On a side note, after I broke up with my fiance, she developed a crush on this hot German freshman. Guess who ended up dating that German? Oh yes, me. She knew how to pick 'em!
