Revision as of 15:58, 22 June 2008

I just scrambled my password and deactivated email and thereby locked myself out of this account. This is my last as Kncyu38/AldeBaer/Dorftrottel.
I will certainly be around to read read read a lot more of Wikipedia and make the occasional minor edits. I will probably call stupid people stupid occasionally, but I'll try to keep it to a minimum (like I almost always do). Best regards, Dorftrottel (talk) 00:24, 22 June 2008 (UTC)

No offense but being "eingeschnappt" might not be the right reaction to this. Regards, --Floridianed (talk) 00:52, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not a little. But what reaction would you suggest? 78.34.137.178 (talk) 01:02, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
How about stepping back when your temper starts to rise? Your history shows a lot of temper and else and if you feel or think you can't manage to control it close your browser, relax and then come back. And again, no offense. I just give you my opinion on what I saw. --Floridianed (talk) 01:20, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Logging off would not have been a choice. Idiocy gets my blood cooking at any moment, it's the testosterone I suppose. Fucking for at least 3 hours straight gives me a window of about 15-20 minutes. What do men have four testicles for anyway?! Wouldn't two of those things be enough? Seriously though, it doesn't matter now. I'll stick around, but this sort of account-centered participation is increasingly, and already mainly, for dweebs. 78.34.137.178 (talk) 02:39, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WTF just happened?

What the hell's going on? What are you scrambling stuff for? Did I miss something? Keeper | 76 | Disclaimer 13:24, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I couldn't fall, as I've always been sitting on the ground. :D 78.34.143.49 (talk) 15:58, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This kindergarten is getting to me. I'm aware that statistically speaking, the average Wikipedian is getting dumber and dumber every day, with the influx of idiots and the 'efflux' of intelligent designers (pi).
What really broke my heart in that ANI thread was seeing those cowards jump on the opportunity of getting rid of me altogether instead of at least acknowledging my good intentions. Insufferable intellectual construction sites like Casliber chiming in with hilarious good faith like 'You are gaming the system. Fact is, there are some folks who are obviously interested in and keen to edit the information on the current football competition. Rather than let 90 minutes go by, you had to push policy and generate bad feeling all round. Great. congrtulations.' (also note my post to which he responded). Such disgusting and malicious assumptions of bad faith on my part; and to that end also the dismissal of all my argumentative points, at least by those who argued directly or indirectly for reinstating my indef block from 2006 — which btw happened because of my total newbie actions against a certified internet kook who didn't shy away from such smart moves as citing himself as a reliable source with a posting in a medical forum website, declaring himself 'amateur researcher'. So that's where my initial block comes from. (Following that, I've had email exchanges with several people (admins included) with a background in medicine and asked them to get involved in that article and they told me flat out that they wouldn't touch that article with a ten foot pole since they had no interest in risking their admin bit or an indef block.)
I can live with shitheads; but not with their enablers and defenders. To some of those arseholes, policy, consensus and encyclopedic value and spirit don't seem to matter at all. Well, to me it does. I care at lot. And I don't agree with the reasoning that bad articles don't hurt the rest. They do, since on the 'account editor level', notions as to correct editorial judgement are distributed horizontally, across the board. Bad habits may start out in an area hounded by a particularly dreadful proportion of stupid assholes, but idiocy spreads. And this isn't just me being disgruntled. It's a true forest fire. What with WikiProjects creating their own policies which (at least in part) directly contravenes official policy (not a fantasy, but current fact)? What with all those article owners who revert any edit without looking twice? With all those people who never give any arguments because they have none? It's me also, but it's not just me. There is a serious problem, and it's not related to anyone in particular or any clique or cabal. It's stupidity and incompetence running wild, actually being encouraged.
I wish there was a strike of all the good people on WP. Just let the rest deal with it and watch Wikipedia dissolve in entropy, instead of postponing the inevitable.
As I said above, I will stick around, maybe create a working sockpuppet for autoconfirmed areas, but that's about it.
So, in short, the reason I blanked my space and scrambled my password is that they would have either reinstated my indef block from 2006, or they would have put me on a civility parole which I could never follow, not with so many idiots asking to be slapped in their stupid faces for doing things that effectively equal vandalism and other policy violations.
A note to all others who are reading this and feel like commenting here to spite me: Don't. This is a response written for those people whom I have come to like and respect. I could go on to make a list of those good people (which is the far more discriminate variant), but you know who you are and I'm gonna see you 'round the 'pedia. 78.34.143.49 (talk) 14:53, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
