Directors on Aircraft Carriers
On United States Navy carriers flight directors wear yellow and use wands at night to direct aircraft. Aircraft Directors are generally enlisted personnel who report to the aircraft handling officer or "handler". Handlers use a complex set of signals to direct pilots to a specific area on the flight deck.
