Edson Fessenden Gallaudet (April 21 1871– July 11945) was a pioneer in the field of aviation, being the first person to experiment with warped wings in 1896.[1] He then worked with Orville and Wilbur Wright, and later obtained US pilot's license #2.[2]

Gallaudet sold a "flying wing" to the US Navy before United States entered World War I.[4]
