Chiton magninficus is a species of edible chiton, a marine polyplacophoran mollusk in the family Chitonidae, the typical chitons.

Chiton magnificus' distribution ranges from the Galapagos Islands at the equator, to Cape Horn at 55º South.

This species is found intertidally.
