Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski [Polish pronunciation: [o] Polish pronunciation: [sz] ] ( listen) is a town in central Poland with 74,211 inhabitants (2006). The main industry is manufacture of iron. Situated in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship (since 1999), previously in Kielce Voivodeship (1975-1998). It is the capital of Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski County.

Culture

Culture plays a special role in the lives of the inhabitants of Ostrowiec. The town has a variety of cultural institutions including:
