Robert Allen Skotheim is the interim President of Occidental College. He previously served as president of both Whitman College and the Huntington Library. Skotheim assumed the role of president on January 1, 2008, replacing president Susan Westerberg Prager who unexpectedly announced her intention to resign in mid-November. On July 1, 2009, Skotheim will step down and Jonathan Veitch, formerly dean of Eugene Lang College, will take the reins.
