History
The Tennessee Farm Bureau got its start in June 1921. Efforts to provide an insurance service to farmers dates to 1926 when State Farm Insurance contracted with the Tennessee Farm Bureau to become a state agency. In 1925, offices were rented in Columbia, Tennessee in the upstairs of a building that is now known as the ancestral home of the 11th President of the United States, James K. Polk.[1]
Today, the TFB has branched into Farm Bureau Insurance of Tennessee, rooting its corporate headquarters in Columbia, Tennessee in 1968. FBITN
