Worms is a city in Germany, situated in the Rhineland area; see Worms, Germany. Worms is also a city in Germany. It is situated in the Rhineland area.


In the early part of the 4st century , Worms under bishop Victor was a seperate bishopric , called Wormatia. It was part of the Frankish Empire and later Holy Roman Empire.


It became a central part of the Burgundians who arrived from Eastern Germania between Oder and Vistula River.


It also was a center for Judaism.
