Necessary?

Was forking this content really necessary? I would have preferred to see an attempt at consensus-gathering before going ahead and doing this. Powers ^T 13:06, 25 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize if this was against others' wishes. I was being bold. I saw the length of the information that was embedded in the Captain Hook article, and felt that it deserved its own article, as some of the other Disney Villains have. Cactusjump (talk) 16:08, 25 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, boldness is fine, but sometimes changes of this magnitude make it hard to carry out the rest of the Bold, revert, discuss cycle. If this had been a minor change, I would have just reverted it, but it was a multi-step change, and if consensus is to go ahead with it, reverting is a huge waste of time. For complex changes, it's thus usually better to discuss first. Rather than reverting, I think I'm going to start a merge discussion. Powers ^T 12:34, 26 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I completly disagree. This character is completly notable, and this artile is really long. I was inspired by Cactusjump to create Alice (Disney) as well.
