Transfer notes

. It is believed that the fee paid for Scott Dann is in the region of £3.5million.[4]
. Birmingham City did not mention an official cost for Giovanny Espinoza. Newspaper reports suggest that the fee was lower than €600,000 (£375,000).[5]
. A fee, and personal terms for Benítez were agreeded on the 3 June 2009,[6] but were later renegotiated after a problem with Benítez knee was descovered during his medical.[7] Benítez officially joined the club on 7 July 2009.[8] The fee for Benítez is thought to be $2million (about £1.2million) rising to $12.5million (about £7.75million) with add-ons, and also includes a 'get out' clause that will see him return to Mexico at the end of the season if his knee problem becomes serious.[9]
. It was announced on 15 May 2009 that Artur Krysiak would be released from the club when his contract expired on 30 June 2009.[10] It was later announced that the side had re-signed the polish goalkeeper.[11]
. Radhi Jaidi, Stephen Kelly and Mehdi Nafti all left the club when their contracts expired. Kelly joined Fulham,[12] while Nafti joined Greek side Aris Thessaloniki.[13] Jaidi is still looking for a new club.
