History

Weston Williamson was established in 1985 by Andrew Weston and Chris Williamson, who met whilst studying architecture. Both founders were chosen for the 40 under 40 exhibition at the Royal Institute of British Architects. Andrew Weston and Chris Williamson had worked with Steve Humphreys at Leicester Polytechnic School of Architecture, who joined the practice in 1991. In 2008 Rob Naybour became a fourth director.

Weston Williamson work on a variety of different project types both in the UK and abroad, specialising in complex projects including transport schemes for Transport for London, Southwark Council and the Docklands Light Railway.

In 2001 Weston Williamson developed and built their offices on Tower Bridge Road, London where they have an office of 60 architects. In 2009 Weston Williamson became one of the largest 100 practices in the UK. This growth was attributed to the development of experienced architects.
