Orphaned non-free media (Image:Oncewebimage.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Oncewebimage.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Good thing I caught you. First and foremost, you should read WP:COI and Wikipedia:SCOIC. Next, explore WP:GLAM and what is happening at WP:GLAM/BM and WP:GLAM/SI. Though you are not from within in the community reaching out to the museum, but rather a gallery reaching out to the community, it is best to understand what types of relationships the community likes with GLAM organizations. Next, figure out what exactly you plan to do on Wikipedia and write a Conflict of Interest statement which lays out your connection to the museum and puts forward your purpose for being here. For some examples see User:Sadads#Declaration_of_Conflict_of_Interest and Talk:Timex_Group_USA#New_Comprehensive_Page_Content_in_Development. Yours should be on your User Page. If you have any questions throughout the process, feel free to contact me again here on your talk page. If I am not responsive contact me at User talk:Sadads. I'm concerned that one editor, Tyrenius (talk · contribs), has already set off on a crusade to strip these ELs, simply because of the host organisation, not from any objective value of the link itself. No-one wins with that approach. Andy Dingley (talk) 12:59, 30 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
