Aleksander (Alexander) Laak was a commander at the Jägala concentration camp, where 100,000 Estonian Jews were killed.[1] He died in Winnipeg, Canada. According to some, he committed suicide.[citation needed] According to others he was killed by a Jewish Avenger squad that clandestinely murdered Nazis.[1]
