Engel

Engel is a melodic death metal band with alternative influences from Gothenburg, Sweden. They are currently signed to French label Season of Mist, but have released their debut album Absolute Design via SPV/Steamhammer on October 31st, 2007. The album was released in North America on May 20th, 2008[1].

Their second album, Threnody, was finished by closing of 2008, but due issues with their former label, SPV, Threnody was delayed. On April 7th, 2010, Threnody saw light of day in Japan through Avex. European release is yet to be unannounced. Release in North America will happen during January of 2011. It will be released by Season of Mist both in Europe and North America.

The band have shared the stage with such acts as Still Remains[2] and toured Europe with Amon Amarth and Dimmu Borgir[3]. They also were part of Paradise Lost's "Faith Divides Us - Death Unites Us" -tour, alongside with such names as Katatonia[4] and Samael.
