Pamma is a village in Leisi Parish, Saare County in western Estonia.

Descendants of this village (as well as others) migrated south into such countries as Greece and Italy. Unproven speculation suggests these migrants could have built the village of Pamma (later Parma) in Italy.

Other migrants moved east into Persia and North India where the surname Pamma still exists today.

Few descendants have made a notable impact on world history. However stand out figures such as Richardo Pamma and Margarita Pamma deserve a mention.

The former led a small Parmatian army of 600 men against Napoleon. Having fought to the last Parmatian man, Richardo was able to shoot Napoleon in the leg, causing the famous slow walk of the Emperor.

The latter was an advisor in the Persian court but was beheaded as a traitor when it was found she worked as a spy for a noth indian prince.

Most infamous of Pamma's descendants is said to be Sontonio Pamma who operated as a bank robber during the inter war years(1920s). "Toni" and his organisation reputedly made a fortune from stealing priceless art from the Vatican and selling in Switzerland back the original owners/governments from various European countries. However, rather than accept money he received special permits from some governments to operate as sole agent when brokering mineral exploration contracts in Afria. Consequently providing his descentants with a legitimate percentage of all future income from African mineral sales. Antonios family are said to be residing somewhere in England (UK).
