Alison Cork (born 28 July 1963) is a British television presenter, journalist and entrepreneur who is best known as a columnist for the Daily Telegraph and Evening Standard and as Homes Expert for ITV's This Morning Show.

Career

Cork's first television appearance was in Home In The Country in 1996, since when she has also presented Countdown to Christmas (Channel 5), The Christmas Show (ITV), Domestic Magic (Channel 5), and Don't Move Improve (ITV) amongst others.

She has authored five books on the subject of property and interiors. They are Profit Through The Post (1994), The Streetwise Guide to Renovating Your Home (1996), Home In The Country (1997), Beautiful Baking (1999) and Special Occasions (2000).

In 2000, Cork founded "Problem Solved", a social networking site designed to find reliable tradesmen and in 2004, she launched "Homes and Bargains", a website about money saving in the home.

In 2003, Cork set up The Bayswater Media Group, to house her writing, broadcasting and online activities.

In 2008, Cork was named as BBC London 94.9’s property commentator and co-presenter of 60 Minute Makeover and Homes and Property. Cork presented Help! I Hate My House![1] on ITV's This Morning, and is currently This Morning's Homes and Shopping expert.

She lives in central London with her husband and two young sons.
