Yokota Air Base helped recovering airline traffic in the hours after the tsunami.[1] The USS Ronald Reagan will support Japanese Self-Defense forces by providing refueling operations and transport of Japanese troops.[1] Other ships from the US Navy with relief supplies and helicopters are en route to Japan. The USAF Air Mobility Command is also preparing transport aircraft to assist Japan. [1]
