Cover to Cover Band Cranston, RI

The Cover to Cover Band was established in 1991 by vocalist and keyboardist Frank D. Rossi <www.covertocoverband.com> of Cranston RI and vocalist, guitarist, keyboardist, and trumpet player, Kevin Falvey of Warwick, RI. The original lineup also included: Metro A. Narcisi, III (saxophone, flute, percussion, and keys) who at the time of hire was performing with Steve Smith and The Nakeds and was pursuing a masters degree in Music Education from Rhode Island College. Narcisi, a graduate of Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA (1988) is currently the Director of Instrumental Music at West Warwick High School in West Warwick, RI. The lead female vocalist was Cherie Paliotta Adams) who attended Rhode Island College with Narcisi and was also a music education major. Frank D. Rossi, former band member/leader of New England bands including Match, Spice, and a was also performer in Back Bay Brew. In addition Rossi performed with vocal legend Ellis Hall, and has performed lead vocals on thousands of jingles, and music projects throughout New England. Rossi started Cover to Cover with Kevin Falvey, who was vice president of music publishing at Sonalysts Studios in Waterford, CT., for five years. Falvey, who died in 1999 was a singer/ songwriter, and managed rock bands. Falvey was also the former musical director and a performer with rock legend Joe Cocker. Both Rossi and Falvey started the group in 1991 after extensive tours in the music industry as composers, producers, singers, musicians, and composers.

Cover to Cover was formed to perform primarily at weddings and corporate functions throughout New England and the first performance was in January, 1991. The original membership stayed intact until 1995 at which time Cherie Paliotta Adams left the band to pursue a music career in Nashville. Cherie later became one of the lead vocalists with the christian band Avalon and is credited with winning a Dove Award (the Christian music industry equivalent of a Grammy). Cherie was replaced by vocalist Wendy Drown from Manchester, CT in the winter of 1995 after touring the US in the club band Expo. In 1996, Kevin Falvey left the band primarily due to health reasons and two new members were added. Vocalist Cheryl (Sherrie) Boyd Enright and Thomas Martin. Sherrie Enright added a second female lead vocalist to the band which seperated Cover to Cover from almost every other wedding band in the industry as the group had three prominent lead vocalists fronting the band. Enright who was a "pro" ion the music industry left the band in 2008. Tom Martin, who attended Berklee College of Music in the 1960's is a composer of several films, movie scores, jingles, and television spots. He has scored works for the Discovery Channel, PBS, AMC, and WGBH in Boston and is co-owner of [[2]]. In addition, Tom is also a tenor saxophonist for the band and plays Keyboards and sings background vocals as well.

In 1999, Robert (Bobby) Cord (guitar and trombone) joined the band adding his talents for nearly a full decade mixing the odd combination of guitarist and trombonist to the sounds of Cover to Cover. Bobby left the band in 2009 to operate Inventive Productions, a music/video production company for which he is owner and president and was eventually replaced by Stevie Badessa, who joined the band in 2004. Badessa (guitar, bass, composer, producer, and owner of a recording studio in West Warwick, RI) added his amazing guitar playing and vocal talents to the band which gave Cover to Cover five bonafide lead vocalists, perhaps something no other band in the NE area could boast.

In 2007, the band's line-up consisted of Frank Rossi, Wendy Drown, Metro Narcisi, Tom Martin, Cherie Enright, Stevie Badessa, Bobby Cord, and new drummer Mauro Colangelo from Italy, who was added to the ensemble. Mauro toured Europe extensively as a musician and is an international composer, scoring movies, TV shows, and jingles. He has worked for major clients such as Cox Communications, Reebok, and recently had one of his commercials air at the Super Bowl in New Orleans.

In 2008, multi talented composer, arranger, producer, and jazz and pop artist Joe Carrier joined the band. Carrier graduated Berklee College of Music as one of the top composition students in the 1980's and currently serves as assistant professor of composition on the Berklee faculty. Joe is in demand as a composer and arranger throughout the US and has worked with the likes of Al Jarreau, Joey McIntyre (formerly of New Kids on The Block) and a jazz and pop pianist throughout the New England Region.
