This is a fantastic project. I'm new, and I hope my contributions will be worthy.

I am a history buff. Right now I'm concentrating my efforts on under-documented or totally undocumented important personages and events in Levantine history, as well as general historical contributions to European and world figures and events.

Comments, corrections, and advice are appreciated.

It is one of the great civilizing tasks before the Jewish people to enter the promised land, not in the Joshua way, but bringing peace and culture, hard work and sacrifice and love, and a determination to do nothing that cannot be justified before the conscience of the world." -- Judah Magnes, Chancellor, Hebrew University - Jerusalem, 1929.

"Those who would give up essential liberty for temporary saftey deserve neither liberty nor safety" - Benjamin Franklin.
