Paul Rodriguez , also known as P.Rod is a Mexican-American professional skateboarder.

Early life

Rodriguez was born on December 31, 1984 to stand up comedian and actor Paul Rodriguez, Sr. and Laura Martinez. His family later moved to Chatsworth, California. Rodriguez bought his first skateboard Christmas 1996 just before he turned 12 years old. Rodriguez got his first real sponsor at age 14 in 1999 with DNA Skateboards, after sending a tape to a sponsor. He turned professional at age 17 in September 2002 after his Transworld - In Bloom video part. Rodriguez also played the lead part in the skateboarding movie Street Dreams (film) as the lead character Derrick Cabrera. His work is in Plan B Skateboards.
