Hi there, while trying to figure out if my wikiquette alert was addressed, I noticed that you had also listed one on a somewhat similar subject. I never heard anything about mine, and I was wondering if I ever will...did anyone get back to you about your alert? Do you have a better idea than me, perhaps, how exactly that process works? Thanks [[User:Bcatt|bcatt]] 08:49, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

== Totally Disputed tag on Jehovah in the New Testament article ==

Castanea, please, PLEASE stop removing the dispute tag. We MUST try to reach consensus but you have said nothing on the matter. I've cited my sources, I've invited you to discuss your objections several times, you've given me nothing. Don't just ignore me and continue your bad-faith editing style, that is not how to resolve this. Please address my concerns with the [[Jehovah in the New Testament]] article on the [[Talk:Jehovah_in_the_New_Testament#Castanea_and_Totally_Disputed_tag]] page. Welcome!

Awwwww, my first barnstar! Thanks, it means a lot to me. (eight-clap!) :) Elonka 02:24, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You certainly earned it! This is also the first one I have given. I just figured out how.  - C. dentata 02:27, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Good luck with other Wikipedia efforts. BTW, if you want to check which page that a template is currently being used on, go to the template's page, and click on the "What links here" link in the lefthand menu. That'll give you an idea of which pages may need tweaking. Elonka 17:55, 13 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to JW project!

Just wanted to shout out a cheery hello. Welcome to the incredibly thorny JW project. I look forward to some outside opinions (and hopefully some objectivity). joshbuddy 19:19, 15 February 2006 (UTC)

Well thanks! Aren't you all friendly!  - C. dentata 19:32, 15 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You are certainly welcome to your own point of view. The Jehovah's Witnesses have their own websites and there is even a section in this article allowing for discussion of these views. The overwhelming majority of editors do not follow that religion, but we have been generous and perhaps indulgent in incorporating these sectarian views in the article.
Convention and the scholarly consensus are quite clear in regard to the use of the word "Jehovah" and official statements from official sites of the Jehovah's Witnesses differ markedly.
However, Wikipedia policy is explicit that articles must follow scholarly convention and consensus. One cannot make an article on Wikipedia conform to the doctrines of the Jehovah's Witnesses, nor may one compel editors to conform their edits to any religion whatsoever.  - C. dentata 22:32, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
