Jonathan V. Last is a senior writer at The Weekly Standard and has a weekly editorial column in the iPad newspaper, The Daily.[1][2] He previously wrote a weekly column in The Philadelphia Inquirer.[3]
Last writes frequently for The Wall Street Journal, and has also written for The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, The New York Post, Salon.com, Slate, The Washington Times, The New York Press, First Things, the Claremont Review of Books, and other publications. He has appeared on CNN, Sky News, and the Fox News Channel.[4]
He runs the blog JonathanLast.com (formerly the Galley Slaves blog, with fellow Weekly Standard staffers Victorino Matus and David Skinner.)
He grew up in Woodbury and Moorestown Township, New Jersey[5][6] and lives in Alexandria, Virginia.[4]
As a youth, he was an avid comic book collector.[7] He still frequently writes about comic books, most notably a eulogy for the death of Marvel Comics's Captain America.[8]
