He is perhaps best known for starring as Edmund Pevensie in the 2005 film version of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. He will appear in the film's sequel, currently scheduled for release in December of 2007.

Keynes was born in London to writer Randal Keynes and Zelfa Cecil Hourani.
