Michael D. Subrizi (Aug.12th 1978, Long Beach, NY) is an underground meta-fictional novelist, screenwriter, and songwriter from the New York City area.

Subrizi's writing style employs a supernatural shock driven literary style with gothic undertones. His characters are often everyday people flirting with anarchistic tendencies. His literary voice ranges from highly accessible pulp noir to eccentric modern-day mythology. Michael is the only sibling of four without hearing impairment. He uses his hearing to make noise in several tone-deaf rock bands in the Lower East Side and Brooklyn, recording the mass of his psychedelic music under the name Mikey Is Unfazed. Subrizi also explores the connection between hearing loss and music in his novel "Bartender Story", in which a young Brooklyn musician loses his hearing and attempts to keep it a secret from his band. An updated edition called "Breeze On The East River" is scheduled to be released on the Kindle and Nook in Fall 2011. A portion of the profits will be donated to Pete Townshend's charity for musicians with hearing loss 'H.E.A.R.'

His literary works include the novels Wind or Wave, Bartender Story, and Mind Villagers; Sky of Clay, a collection of Subrizi's poetry and spoken word; and College Loans and The Legend Of Zelda, a guide on how to defeat the American college loan system using classic video game strategy. A screenplay Bloodstain is currently in-development with a Brooklyn based production company. The film is a supernatural giallo set in Rome, Italy.

In June 2011 Subrizi published a neo-noir hardboiled mystery titled Lust Demented. The novel explores the death of traditional publishing and rebirth of the ancient medium fused within modern day technology. Shortly before the books release, the novel was mysteriously leaked and has been widely pirated across the internet in .epub form.
