VirnetX (AMEX: VHC) VirnetX Holding Corporation is an Internet security software and technology company with patented technology for 4G LTE security. The Company’s software and technology solutions, including its secure domain name registry and GABRIEL Connection Technology™, are designed to facilitate secure communications and to create a secure environment for real-time communication applications such as instant messaging, VoIP, smart phones, eReaders and video conferencing. The Company’s patent portfolio includes 20 U.S. and 26 international patents and over 100 pending applications. VirnetX is not a non-practicing entity or patent troll company as some have mistakenly suggested, as they now market their Gabriel Connection Technology encryption solution and have cross-licensed this technology to Avaya, a global provider of business communications and collaborations systems. VirnetX is currently ^[1]^[2] suing companies including Apple, Cisco, and Microsoft.^[3], and has previously sued and won a jury trial and settled with MSFT, and sued and settled with Aastra, Mitel, NEC, and Siemens, and most recently Avaya. In their Apple case, VirnetX worked together with SAIC.^[4]
