Atlanta Silverbacks Park is a soccer complex in Chamblee, Georgia, United States, outside Atlanta. It is the home venue of the Atlanta Silverbacks club, which includes the Silverbacks North American Soccer League (NASL) team, the Atlanta Silverbacks Women of the W-League, the Atlanta Silverbacks Reserves of the National Premier Soccer League, as well as the Atlanta Renegades Rugby Football Club.

The park was designed to be built in several phases; the first stage completed in 2006 with a capacity of 7,500. Later phases are planned to increase the size to 15,000 seats and add additional fields and facilities.[2][3]

Adidas commercial

The Reggie Bush/David Beckham commercial for Adidas was filmed at Atlanta Silverbacks Park. In the commercial Beckham attempts to teach Bush how to play association football, while Bush attempts to teach Beckham how to play American football.[4]

Rugby

A Rugby Union team, the Atlanta Renegades Rugby Football Club are in partnership with Atlanta Silverbacks and call the Silverpark Complex "home" for all their trainings and home games. "Renegade Field" was constructed in 2011 and will be the home of the Atlanta Renegades Rugby Football Club for the next 10 years at least. The Atlanta Renegades are nationally ranked and part of USA Rugby and play in the USA Men's Division 1 league.

Stadium construction

Stage 1:

  • Phase 1: Started in 2004. Two artificial pitches, and one natural pitch were built. A state-of-the-art drainage system was also completed.
  • Phase 2: Completed in 2006. Expanded to 5,000 seat stadium with bar/restaurant.

Stage 2:

  • Phase 3: 4th international size practice field
  • Phase 4: Club house, pool, and fitness center.

Geography

The stadium and park is located off Northcrest Road between Interstate 85 and Chamblee-Tucker Road. The official address is Atlanta Silverbacks Way, Atlanta, GA 30340, although some maps use the former name of Northcrest Way.
