Established | 1936 |
Kullihoma Grounds consists of 1500-acres owned by the Chickasaw Nation, located 10 miles from Ada, Oklahoma (34°42′32.983″N 96°24′21.461″W / 34.70916194°N 96.40596139°W). The land was purchased in 1936, and the Chickasaw built traditional tribal dwellings on the site, and used it as a stomp ground. Traditional Chickasaw households consisted of summer and winter houses and a corn crib. A circular council house also exists on site. Prior to 1936, the Green Corn Ceremony was practiced on this land.[1][2]
